Vicci Laine is a fascinating woman who actually started a career as drag queen named Betty Blow Back. She did impersonations of stars such as Cher, Dolly Parton, and Reba, Lucille Ball, Joan Crawford and several others. Vicci won many pageants and competitions. Struggling with gender identity issues, she finally began her transition in the early 90s. Eventually she became the show director at “The Ten” night club in Indianapolis. Laine chose to leave the Ten to head the cast at “Uncle Elizabeth’s” in Bloomington. In April 2010 Laine was crowned the first Miss Imperial Goddess. She is an activist and contributor as a columnist and co-host of Stopping the Hate Television. Vicci qualifies as both as having been an equally successful drag queen and trans woman. You go, girl.
